Sophie,

When i'm writing these lines, you are sleeping peacefully on the bed.

Daddy has returned to Singapore this morning, and i'm still sad about it.

Sophie, you are an amazing gift to me and daddy..

We have been through a tough journey that lasted more than 24 hours...

and both of us have to suffer a cesarean operation..

You have been so weak during the first 2 days of your life,

and i felt heart pain looking at you with the tube at your mouth.

But it's okie.. as right now you are a strong and lovely kid.

We have overcome all the hardest part already.

Sophie, i hope you would drink my milk better each day,

and grow up to be a very healthy kid.

i hope you will fall sick less than every other kid,

that you will recover quickly if you ever fall sick,

that you will be a well-behaved kid for us...

Sophie, our life together in the future might be tough..

maybe mom n daddy wont be able to give you all that you deserve..

but we will try out best to give you all the best we can..

and most of all, we give you our unconditioned love.

Sophie wants to get out!

Dearest,

Last nite I told your dad that I wanted to get you out since you made me feel too heavy already. I didn't know my wish'd become true later..

At midnight, while I tried to get some sleep, I had experienced some menstrual-like cramps, very mild.. And whenever I wanted to cross my leg over the long pillow, I had the feeling of full-bladder. I woke up n got to the toilet.. Then around 4.50am, I had a strong cramp. I didn't know what was that cos I was half-sleeping. Waking up to the toilet, I noticed some weird liquid but could not see exactly what it was.. At 5.50, the strong cramp came again n woke me up this time. I decided to run a contraction counting from Babybump. And it told me I have been in the first stage of labour. Freaked out 20%, slowly I went to the toilet, only to find out abt the "bloody show". I went downstairs slowly to tell your grandmother, she told me to get ready for hospital n call your dad. I called him and tell him to pack. Now he's on his 1pm flight and he will get here soon to be with us.

Sophie, at this stage, the cramps are bearable for me. I am worried that you are still a bit high than normal.. Then the cord around your neck... Pls pray that both of us will get through this safely with the best result.

Stretch Marks

Since mommy has many stretch marks in places that were meant to be for a pregnant lady, even way before mommy actually got pregnant.. So, mommy thought there will not be any more stretch marks... How naive!!! Now they are all around my belly button. Sophie, mommy is quite sad... not exactly sad, but just dont like it. Nah, it will not be able to affect my confidence. Its just bothersome. :)

Sophie,

So you have gained 300 gr more in one week. Which is a really good result that made mommy, daddy, your grandparents, and my gynae very happy. Now we have less things to worry about. And i'm more anxious each day, wondering when will be your birthday..

Please keep on being healthy. Mommy will try my best to eat more healthy food, drink more milk so you could have all the best okie.. But you also need to try your best.

I went to watch Thor this morning with your uncle. We had a good time becos Thor is a nice movie without being overly comic-heroism. Some good jokes, simple but nice story, good acting from the cast, and Thor-character has a nice smile which reminds me much of your daddy. Its a kind of innocent child-like smile in a man's face, the type of man when he doesnt smile, he looks bloody fierce and angry.

Daddy will come over here soon.

Dearest Sophie,

Mom is very worried that you are only 2.3kg instead of the supposed 2.6-2.8kg. Mom has been eating well, so what prevented you from absorbing all the nutrition? We only have 3-4 more weeks to go. Please take all you can from me, and be a good healthy baby okie!

There was this lady telling your grandma that i'm going to give birth soon within 10 days. Rubbish i know. She's no fortune-teller. Your daddy laughed at it.I laughed too.

You moved less inside today.

Maybe you are restricted of the moving zone.

Oh yah, i'm talking abt it and you are moving wildly inside me.. hahhaa

Daddy has packed your stroller (passing down from Judith n Julia),

and some of mommy's clothes into his emergency luggage.

I now will pack my emergency bag for both of us.

Grandma told me today to call me immediately when i have any pain.

We have been preparing for you.

oH, how mom misses daddy so much.

It has been 1 month since mom last met daddy in person.

I 've started to get more emotional than normal, which made daddy worried.. read a review abt michael moore 's "capitalism: a love story" and was a bit disappointed. instead of saying anything abt the movie, this guy just bragged abt how terrible communism is, and his example was north korean's portrait through national geography channel. he just comment the movie was one sided and his review is totally exactly the same: one sided.

didnt think communism is bad originally. it is for good intention. and it only work if human doesnt have this selfish characteristics. and therefore, communism is unrealistic. it's a place where human dreams of: a peaceful place like heaven. and heaven is not here on earth.

north korean is just a communist country with a twist. like vietnam, china n cuba. they r not exactly communist countries.

he's still watching tv...

i think i am going to fall asleep..

A Quiet Friday

It's a gloomy day as rainy season finally came.

The office is quite empty, as many went out for a production shoot.

Just had a new hair-cut last nite after 4.5 hrs..

The longest hair-cut i have ever had.

and swear will not go back there again..

Today 's lunch is herbal black chicken soup @ Amara's food court.

Pls dont go there anyone.

I was thinking it might be my best herbal soup so far,

when i found a little insect's dead body floating up from the bottom of the soup.

F***, so that's the secret ingredient.

Wanted to vomit the soup out so much,

but thinking how i had cosumed spiders, grasshopper, bees.. in my young and naive days...

i felt this problem is actually nothing..

But i did have a refund.

aunties didnt make any noise at my request,

i didnt make business harder for them.

Have been thinking of going back to school.

But looking at the school fee.. my desire for the academic paper is fainting away..

If only i have enough money..

I can save up for one year, to have enough money,

but then.. i would not be able to do other things i have planned.

Sometime. i dont know what to do..

There are so much in my mind and i have to decide..

and I have to think about others as well..

So this time, i cant act selfishly like i used to do..

It’s not too late, experts say. Here are some tips that can help.

IT’S NOT THAT HARD. Writing onCIO.com, Meredith Levinson makes two good points that may relieve some of your anxiety.

While most people instantly think about approaching strangers whenever the term “networking” surfaces, that doesn’t have to be the case. You can begin by “seeking out familiar faces, such as relatives and friends,” she says. “Starting with someone you know makes it easier to get your networking career under way.”

Second, “many introverted professionals think they have to act like an extrovert in networking situations. While you do have to make an effort to be more gregarious than normal, you shouldn’t be artificial.”

WHAT’S YOUR OBJECTIVE? Keith Ferrazzi, author of the new book “Who’s Got Your Back” (Broadway Business ), suggests that you not even think of what you are doing as networking.

“All you are doing is looking to build authentic relationships,” he says. “What I have found is helpful, when going into a room, is to think of just two words: ‘care’ and ‘help.’ I try to find someone I can care about and someone I can help, both broadly defined. Both of these give me the courage I need to truly connect.”

That said, Mr. Ferrazzi added, you can be premeditated about all this. “Networking is not about throwing mud at a fence. Determine what you really want to achieve and who the most important people or types of people are to achieving that, then both go to where they are and invite them to where you are. Again, remember that purposeful does not mean fake. It just means purposeful — like dating — which is very often very systematic and strategic but not fake.”

DON’T SELL. Remember, says Sheryl Nicholson, writing on Ezinearticles.com, thepurpose of networking is not to make an immediate sale. So don’t “pitch your product or services,” she says. “Nobody is going to get their checkbook out and order and pay” immediately. “Be patient and realize people do business with people they like and know.” So get to know the person you are talking with.

NETWORK IN PERSON. Perhaps the hardest thing to do, if you are naturally shy, is to talk face-to-face to people you have never met before.

Next time you find yourself at a conference, industry event or local chamber of commerce meeting, try these three ideas, suggests John Berard, who runs Credible Context, a communications consulting firm, and describes himself as a shy guy.

1. Break the ice by talking about what is going on around you. “Every event offers something — a display, a presentation or cause — that can be a stress-free way to make a connection.”

2. Force yourself. “Networking in person requires proximity which can be uncomfortable to the shy person. Getting in a line — to the bar, the buffet or the book signing — is a natural way to overcome that hurdle. The wine at the bar, the food at the buffet and the author’s high school picture on the book jacket are all ways to take advantage of what’s going on.”

3. Prepare questions to ask people you are sure to encounter at the event. It doesn’t really matter what you ask, as long as it is somehow relevant. Just the act of asking will start a conversation.

TAKE A FINAL TIP. From the category of turning lemons into lemonade, consider this from Rob May, writing on BusinessPundit.com. “Introverts are intuitive and analytical. Use that skill.” After you have been networking for a while, ask, “What is working? What isn’t? Where do you get the most bang for your buck?”

7 Secrets to Raising a Happy Child

Nature and nurture are in a never ending battle to claim the disposition of our children. While it’s true that the apple rarely tumbles too far from the tree, it is also true that there are a multitude of things we as parents can do to safeguard the childhoods of our children, limit their exposure to the more damaging elements the world will see fit to introduce in time, and do our best to raise a healthy and happy child.

We might not be able to help the variety of our branches, but we are the ones who control the nutrients in their soil and the sunlight in their sky.

In addition to the obvious things such as making sure your child is consuming the right nutrients, staying hydrated, and getting the quantity of sleep and exercise a growing body needs, here are 7 secrets that can help you raise a happy child.

1. Let your child know you are excited to see them when they enter the room. Let them see the light dance inside your eyes when their gaze drifts into yours. Be mindful of their presence by showing them your smile and greeting them warmly. Say their name out loud. Not only do children love to hear the sound of their name, they also long to feel validation from their loved ones. Think about it from an adult perspective - wouldn’t you love it if the face of the person you loved most lit like a holiday parade every time you entered the room? Your child loves you the most, imagine the returns after a childhood filled with such affection.

2. Teach your child it’s okay to be bored. As parents, it’s often our instinct to entertain our children each and every waking hour. When we don’t possess the time or energy, it is all too easy to allow the glowing blue babysitter in the living room to do the heavy lifting. But when we rely on television, or any other form of autopilot attention, we succeed only in limiting our child’s development. Children have vivid imaginations that flourish upon nurturing. But without the opportunity to coax their creativity, it will only whither on the vine. Allow your child idle minutes to develop their creativity with hands-on activities to stimulate their thought. A few sheets of paper and a box of crayons can keep a well rounded child busy for far longer than an episode of Dora.

3. Limit your child’s media. Related, but not limited to number two. Limiting your child’s exposure to media isn’t only a positive move for promoting their creativity, it is an excellent method to broaden their attention span while grooming their ability to stay calm. Your child will have plenty of exposure to more than you want soon enough. During those precious years when you are the designer of their decisions, you must make sure they are learning to live a life independent from the over-exposure that is often too easy to rely on. Yes it is difficult, but we owe it to the next generation to search for the right road rather than the easy one.

4. Let your child know they are more important than work by giving them eye contact and attention. Your child doesn’t just need you around, they need you present. Play with your child, interact with them, find out what is important to them by asking questions and listening to their answers. Your child deserves at least a little bit of you each and every day, at least a few minutes where you are not considering your email or allowing your thoughts to wander over what’s been left sitting on your desk. Letting your child know they are important is like giving them an insulin shot of happy.

5. Let your child make a few of the rules. You don’t have to make them the boss to let them feel empowered. Often, power struggles with our children are the direct result of them feeling a loss of control. You can easily curb these instances by allowing your child to feel like they are part of making up some of the protocol. By at least appearing to give your child some of the control, you are helping them understand household law inside and out. This will lead directly to a willingness to follow.

6. Teach your child - don’t assume it’s all happening outside the house. Home schooling is every parent’s job. Whether your child attends public or private school, or receives all their schooling at home, it is essential to the world’s best future that parents are the ones to fill in the blanks. There are plenty of skills not taught in school that play a massive role in determining who your children will grow up to be. Children are not raised in tupperware, and when they finally leave us to enter the world far away from our watchful eyes, they must have the sharpened tools that will help them be the best that they can be.

7. Model appropriate behavior. In my opinion, this is the most important item on the list. Children do as they see, not as they’re told. If you want your child to be mindful of others, you must be mindful of others yourself. If you want your child to by happy, you must smile without hesitation. There is no one more influential to your child than you. At least for now.

Raising a happy child is hard work, but it is something that can and must be done. Once you focus on the needs of your child and ensure you are doing all you can to meet them, your efforts will be rewarded. You will have a healthy and happy child, fortunate to have been raised in a family where childhood wasn’t permitted to simply fade away.

PHO FIX

i have been wanting to check out this place since a friend told me about it like long time ago. i decided to drop by here after a meeting and some affairs i had to sort to in the east.

this is where one can get a fix of halal pho bo (beef noodle soup). i honestly have not tried pho bo (because it’s beef) at the other vietnamese eating places sticking always to the bun thit (prawn vermicelli noodle salad) and cui con (spring roll)….so i thought i wanted to give this a try here.

the pho turns out pretty alright. broth not too robust, but acceptable. it comes with a good dose of fresh greens (thai basil, taugeh, raw onions) though i would love to have more of them. the ones served at the other eating places i know always come with extra greens and herbs on the side. F had something which looked like mee goreng, cant remember what it’s called though. we also ordered the fresh spring rolls, one of my favourites and they come with a different type of sauce that i always have mine with, but it was tasty.

we were there slightly before lunch time, but the stall seems to attract quite the lunchtime crowd. there were two ladies manning the stall. they both spoke vietnamese to each other (or that’s how it sounded like), so i guess this should be as authentic as it gets. i also did overhear one of them speaking malay..there is a story about this stall (right LTS?) but i cant remember for now..

One day, dad bought the VCD player home.

I didnt know much about VCD and CD...

I just felt excited bc it had a radio function.

I love radio, music in the quiet afternoon.. lovely!

A few days later, dad brought CDs n VCDs home.

He said he took some from his colleague.

I guessed it must be the english ones

that he took away from his subordinates.

I watched with my brother, all of them..

and i was amazed to know the existence of Spice Girls.

To me, they are like "extraordinary" people..

The concept of being open, lovely, sensual, liberal.. was too new to accept.

But i was amazed.. and i liked their music...

Soon after my late discovery, Spice Girls disbanded.

Over the year, only Victory Posh remains in the spot light.

I even spot her in one of my favorite design book.

When Irene told me she wants a motion graphic clip about herself,

I went to the toilet.. and thought of "wannabe"..

I just thought immediately the lyric suits her so well.

But how to execute the graphic and the music together..

I havent found a solution.. so it portraits the complexity of Irene as a human being, yet.

To me, Irene is more than the usual person she lets us know.

She's blunt, honest, funny, hilarious..

But she 's also a sad girl searching for love..

She's smart and straight forward..

... she keeps things for herself, when ppl dont notice...

... she has a lot underneath her usual mask..

Friendship

Dear,

I have always thought a lot about friendship, who is my friend and who is not. Sometime I thought a person to be my friend, turned out that he's not.. Quite sad to see friendship end and I could not stop thinking why/where it went wrong. I always believe everything is a two-way thing, so I 'd always ask myself if I did something wrong first before I question the other. While practicing this method, I found out that if I constantly find my own fault first, people could exploit me and push all the blame on me in the end.

I have my best friend, who has always been there for me whenever she could. And i have been always there for her, whenever I could as well. If we cant make it, or if we miss the other's part of life... we wont resent each other, we just talk about it and share our feelings. There are so many times we didnt keep in touch for a long long time, but we never questioned the other, cos we knew if she could make it, she would definite have made it, also, the other has her own life to take care of so we wont ask too much of each other's attention. Our friendship has been a distant relationship for a while, but we didnt feel the distance that much. We always feel close to each other, whenever we talk again. I just love this relationship with my best friend so much.

I have other really close girlfriends as well. Because we all end up in different countries when we grew up, so all are distant relationships. But always, we go back to talk to each other, just sharing moments in our lives and felt connected again..

I treasure these relationships a lot. Cos they understand my situation without saying a word, i understand theirs. They support me and never demand anything from me besides sharing stories whenever we can.. And the same goes to me. Even without physical contact, the bond is there for us. And it's a strong one. As strong as a family bond.

I just wonder why... the same effect cant be applied to friendship that is near to me, next to me.. and physically here for me..

Maybe, my definition of friend is just different from a few people's point of views.

Love. Relationship between one and another is always complicated, basically becos human is already a complicated one. Hope you'll find a way to be simple and remain simple throughout your life.

The $4,722 wedding: One Brooklyn bride proves it can be done

I've never been a girly girl with visions of a princess gown and grand ballroom reception dancing in my head. So when it came to my wedding, I wanted a day that reflected my husband's and my classic and eclectic tastes, and our love of family, friends and good food in an intimate, nongeneric setting. Most importantly, we didn't want to spend a fortune.

According to The Knot, a leading wedding resource, the average cost of an American wedding is $28,000 - and $46,000 for a New York City love fest. Yet, John and I spent just under $5,000 for our 70-guest Brooklyn affair - a total that included my dress, our rings, the ceremony site, reception venue and food, flowers, photographer, violinist and wedding officiant. Sounds impossible, right? By channeling my Jedi-like knack for finding a bargain and bucking the bridal industry trend to overspend into debt, however, we orchestrated a budget wedding that looked like a million bucks (or at least $28,000).

HERE COMES THE BUDGET BRIDE

Out of curiosity, I went to the Filene's Basement's chaotic "Running of the Brides" sale, but none of the countless dresses tempted me to part with $250. It was a deal for some, but more than I wanted to spend. So I did the next best thing - I checked eBay. And there it was, a simple yet elegant, sleeveless, satiny, ivory sheath with only one bidder and 40 minutes left on the auction. I won the dress for $27. The seller said she'd purchased it from Saks' Off 5th outlet but didn't lose weight in time for her wedding. Fortunately, her diet disaster was my happy ending.

DO IT YOURSELF

We saved hundreds of dollars by printing our own invitations, a silver-and-flower embossed design from Party City ($30); recruiting friends to shoot video footage of the ceremony and reception, and having a photographer friend snap the wedding shots ($200). Flowers are also a huge expense - with bouquets priced at $100 and up - so my matron of honor fashioned my long-stem, white rose bouquet and the groom's boutonniere from a supermarket dozen. Another friend's aunt crafted the requisite Jordan almond favors, using a 5-pound bag I purchased online ($40,www.nutsonline.com), homemade keepsake tags and leftover tulle.

AFTERNOON DELIGHT

A morning ceremony and early afternoon reception was a good fit for us. Between 9-10 a.m. on weekends, several sites at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardencan be reserved for a private ceremony ($350 for up to 50 guests). Once we saw the Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden, with its covered viewing pavilion, manicured shrubs, orange Shinto shrine, wood bridges and colorful koi fish, we were sold.

The reception was at Madiba, a South African restaurant in bohemian, brownstone-lined Fort Greene. We loved the restaurant's sunny vibe and funky details: an old-Coke bottle chandelier, a huge portrait of Nelson Mandela (Madiba is the leader's nickname) fused with the African continent, and Mason jar water glasses.

Because of the early time, Madiba's charming owner didn't charge a rental fee for the five-hour reception (regular dinner service resumed at 5). By having a restaurant reception, we also skipped catering charges for table linens, flatware and flowers. With the bar's front tables removed, there was even room for a "Soul Train" line to an iPod mix of disco, new wave and contemporary favorites.

After several tastings, we refined the $40 per person menu that included pumpkin fritter and vegetable samosa appetizers; a guava juice and Champagne cocktail; ravioli topped with John's homemade marinara sauce, and a choice of salmon or Cornish hen entrée with veggie side dishes. Instead of splurging on a wedding cake that would cost about $350, in addition to Madiba's Jenny's Malva Pudding (a traditional South African dessert served with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream), we served a tiered assortment of red velvet, coconut and yellow cake cupcakes from One Girl Cookies in Cobble Hill ($184; onegirlcookies.com) topped with a mini-lemon and raspberry cake we happily devoured a week later.

Dear son,

Today we spent the whole afternoon til evening to visit Aloha resort. We first got to Aloha Loyang without knowing our main target is at Aloha Changi.. and the taxi only knows it as Changi Chalet area. It's actually at Netheravon Rd, Fairy Point Chalet 7.

When we get there, there was a malay wedding going on. "Made in India", a very old song, was playing, hahaha. We could not get inside and take a closer look. But the chalet looks really grand type of thing, and it lies on top of the hill which overlooks the sea. It was private, quiet and nice.. The surroundings was full of tropical trees. After going around for a while, we got into the changi beach club and decided it could become a back-up plan.

We love Aloha Fairy Point Chalet 7 but our chosen date is a public holiday so we cannot hold any wedding there. What a pity. We decided to look for a place for ROM first, then hold the dinner on a later day. We can only book Aloha from march onwards. which means if we fail, we will have a short time to find another venue.. Because any other venue might be filling fast now. Well, probably our chosen date is a nice number..

Tomorrow we gotta do some exercise.

I have a problem with spending money.

Okie, after hearing my dear girlfriends' opinions about marriage, I started to have some deep thought about my opinion. I havent changed one bit of my mind.

Firstly, about the wedding.. I consider the wedding is only a symbolization of celebration 2 persons come together as one small family. It's a waste of time n money n energy to make it so grand.. for what purpose? I think mostly ppl make it "special" or "unique" becos they have Money and they like the attention. I believe in simplicity, cosines.. My wedding should be small, sweet and friendly with people who matter.

Secondly, life after marriage? .. Of course there are changes, at least on the paper. But if you are well aware of what you are going into, the changes would never affect you so much.

Thirdly, ROM - signing the paper. This one, i will do it for the laws. I wonder why as well.. but nevermind.. law is law.. cannot escape or else we go to jail.

It was a hot saturday afternoon when we went to your dad's friend's house for a gathering. I have never met so many of your dad's church friends before. Despite worrying they would talk me into Christian, I felt eager to meet them, to get to know them.. and understand more about your dad. I was right to go.. and everything passed by pleasantly.

Just that... it's the same food and same video clip we experienced at Hellen's place the previous day's dinner. hahahha.. what a coincidence, you might say.

You know, somehow.. i started to think, maybe i should just be open about God n Jesus and should thank him for letting me know so many nice people.

I always believe in God.

I just dont care if my God is the same God they believe in.

Because, my God doesnt need any explanation or taking any form.

He's there.. just there.. and leads me through life.

It's not exactly because we were busy or anything.

These days we are trying to create a wedding plan.
First started from the theme of the wedding.
Well, we decided the colors.
We decided the table's decoration.
I'll need to find out where to buy flower at wholesale price.
and i need to use my flower arrangement talent now.
darling, i did win some prizes when i was in schl for it.
I should make it useful rite? hahha...

I contacted Harry for the wedding gown.
See if everything is really ok when i go back there..
if not, within 3 days i have to rush to search for the gown.
I hope the price will not be so expensive.
Oh.. and need to get the suit done for Jayson as well..
Where is the right place to make his suit?

We found this beautiful resort as a place to hold our wedding dinner..
Means dinner because we cannot have our solemisation over there.
Since they dont work on super-holiday.

Dad had a job already

Oh oh oh... son, your dad had a job already. Although he's not totally happy with it, he listened to my advice and accepted it, while looking for copy-writing jobs. His working place is quite relaxing and nice.. He got used to the people there already, for working freelance long time ago. We met Justin on last thursday, then watched The Chaser (i had nightmare after that, it's a damn bloody movie!). On friday.. we also had dinner with Justin at this nice indian restaurant.. We nearly had conflict over the wedding details.. hahah... and that freaked Justin out really..

Dad and I still made decision on the details of our wedding next year. We dont know what needs to be include into our simple wedding.. Well.. simple n budget. Cos we dont want to trouble our parents abt it.

We met Van for dinner on saturday, and your dad was really good at making jokes. He made us laugh so much. I really love him for that. I want him to meet all of my friends n befriend with them. He's a nice guy and i want my friends to know that, instead of making prejudice against him.

I called home quite often lately, cos i missed them a lot. Your grandfather just signed up for international phone-call from his handphone and he's so proud of it! I called home using the phone-card and he asked me to hang up to call me back a min later! I think it's a waste of money while your dad corrected me "it's his trying out new function". well... that's how men n women r different..

(Van said, your dad is soo ready to have a kid. She's so right. He's totally into it. Always talk abt kids n having kids.. and all kind of things... He'll be a good father for you. ^_^)

My son...

Last evening dad booked out of his camp during his two weeks re-service.. I messed up things a bit and made him angry but soon after that, everything was good. Dad actually had a soft spot for being snugged at, hihihi.. We watched Mama Mia and we both like the wedding design from the movie... Hope we could achieve the same effect for our wedding.

When i lay at night next to your dad, i kept staring at his face sleeping peaceful and wondered if i could spend the rest of my life with him. I worried about his life-firing section which is very dangerous.. I hope monday will pass by with no harm done. Please look after your dad okie..

There are more things i want to tell you, but i think i'll let you know when i hold you in my arm.. hihihi.. my son. Your dad actually asks if we could have you sooner.. but god.. we have so many things to prepare for the small family.. i am afraid if i have you now, i could not give you the best thing out there. then dad asks what the best things are in our situation.. i am dumb-founded.. i guess.. the only thing i could do is giving you the best within our ability. But i still want to secure our family life in this eventful world which has so many bad things happening around.. I miss your dad a lot. He's back in national service now and will be there til next friday midnight. Even when he could call me every night at 11 o'clock, i would feel still so lost.. It's meaningless to looking forward to going back home after a hard day at work, since there is no one there waiting for you, listening to your stories and sharing things with you.. I miss your dad's strong arm.. Guess you would say i depend on your dad too much right? It's not about being dependent or not you know.. It's about being connected to another person and making life more interesting each day.. It's about companionship. I just enjoy your dad's existence the most. I love him..

Sometime i look at your dad and wonder, why am i here.. why do i love this guy so much when while i was studying in school, i never noticed him for once.. It's a big wonder. For me. And for your dad. He used to look at me and thought how mysterious i was.. Sometime i just burst into tears at one corner and your dad happened to be the only one to see and the scene i made gave him the impression that i need help. He told me i looked so helpless that he wanted so much to help me but didnt know how. And he kept wondering what had happened. Well.. what had happened? It is a very sad chapter in my life and still haunts me until now, i will tell you when time comes okie.. Just now that mom is not that helpless and weak.. Mom is actually a superwoman. Of course i am a superwoman.. cos only superwoman can give life to such a wonderful boy like you. Argh.. mom loves you a lot, too.

I have been working in three companies since graduation. The first one was a one-man show so basically just me, the boss, either the boss's brother or husband in the office. It was a motivation - robbery for me. The second one was the biggest corporation in my country and huge politics within the office. I could have survived there if the projects were more appealing. My working motto is "to care only about works n things matter to my performance and salary", for the rest, keep it to the minimum affect as much as possible". My third company was OK. Of course, like every other company or corporation, you can here gossips or complaints about just anything.. But here, i find it quite pleasant a place to work n make friends.

But just two months after joining, i am going to say farewell to one of the designer. I really enjoy working with him and learning from him. I missed the guy who had to left because of the government policy last month.. He was really fun to talk to.. to discuss whatever things happen around the world, from our job to celebrities, from politics to religions. It's like eye and mind - refreshing for me talking to him.

I miss avocado smoothies.

Bus is my main transportation to move around the city. I have been on so many types of bus and my most favorite is the old school bus without air-con, without radio or tv-mobile, windows open wide to let the wind freely passing by and the quietness of the bus let your mind rest after a hard day. I love this type of bus. And i love the wind and the quietness. It's so free of smell of the crowd.

I hate the air-con bus, once the crowd get on and you can smell a mixture of sweat and food and plastic. You cant escape until it's your bus stop or someone with that strong smell gets off. You have a very tired day and you want to rest, but that tv-mobile keeps playing the irritating air force commercial or some guys think his mp3 music are awesome enough to share with the world around while you just find it damn vexatious. It's a noise pollution to your ear either way. One funny thing is the tv-station purposely plays the "Just for Laugh" show to bring laughter to people on the bus, but no one laughs except me. I have a hard time wondering while people are so serious sometime.. or they just think if they laugh along they 'd look silly. But then.. when the bus is crowded, you can not even see the tv so the program becomes just an annoyance to most of the people.

I dont like the train. I have nowhere else to look while being on the train.. and I cant stare at people. No scenery. No interesting ad. Nothing. Just the sound of the train moving and emotionless people around me. Slowly i become emotionless, too. And that radio voice which sometimes reminds people of being suspicious to others around, to find terrorist's attack is really another remark of the already non-friendly society.

They no longer run the type of bus that i like.

And life suddenly feels so dull.
